Kirk Andrews, MA, LMFT, BC-DMT
I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT) who specializes in anxiety, depression, trauma, bereavement, couples and family therapy.
I have been licensed as an MFT for 25 years and registered as a dance/movement therapist for 28 years. I teach meditation techniques as a part of my practice. I like to work with kids, couples, executives, athletes and performers. I was an intercollegiate athlete in two sports, and active in improvisational performance for many years.
Kirk’s Practice Statement
I strongly believe that health and success must be practiced to be achieved. Our brains are always ready to be retrained. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and EMDR techniques to uncover the old traumas and negative thoughts that impede change. Once those neural networks have been uncovered, it is easier to build new patterns for success and comfort in the world.
If you would like to be in treatment with me, please be prepared to gradually (if not immediately) include your body, your heart and your spirit in the process.
I am bilingual in English and Spanish, and have been trained in EMDR, Biofeedback, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Couples Counseling, and 12 step recovery programs. If you would like more information about my practice, please call me at (949) 933-9761.
